Basic White Contact Lenses

Basic White contact lenses are just one of a range of special effect or cosmetic contact lenses which are popular with kids today.

First created for special effects in horror movies, many theatrical lenses are now available over the counter or by mail order - not just basic white contact lenses.

One of the main manufacturers, Crazy Lenses, markets at least ten lenses all built upon the base design of a Frequency 55 contact lens. This is because Toric lenses are weighed to keep the bottom-side at the bottom, even after you blink.

The designs include: Devil, Cat Eye, Fire, Blood Red, Black & Red Spiral, Black & Red Wolf, Dollar and Basic White contact lenses.

The Devil and Cat-Eye lens designs are prism ballast types, ensuring proper alignment. This means they move when the eye blinks, but they are weighted to stay right-side-up.
