Biomedics 55 Toric and Frequency 55 Lenses
Biomedics 55 are weekly disposable soft contact lenses, made by Ocular Sciences Inc.
Biomedics 55 lenses are also sold under a number of private labels specific to eye doctors and optical
chains.
Frequency 55 soft contact lenses are made by CooperVision Inc to lens designs which all offer an easy to care for
lens with exceptional comfort and clarity.
The Frequency family of lenses are tinted for ease of handling, and they won't change the color of your eye. The
tint is there to help you spot the contact lenses when they're in liquid.
Frequency contacts are manufactured in several different varieties, namely:
Frequency 38 Sphere: a lower water content lens with improved durability and dehydration resistance.
Frequency 55 Aspheric: claims more precise, crisper vision by focusing light to a common focal point on the back of
your eye, instead of a general area.
Frequency 55 Multifocal: uses two different lenses combined in one to provide clear vision whether you're looking
near, far or anywhere in between.
Frequency 55 Sphere: convenience, cost savings and performance of monthly replacement in a planned-replacement soft
lens.
Frequency 55 Toric: monthly soft toric replacement lenses for people with astigmatism.
Frequency 55 Toric XR: monthly soft toric replacement lenses for people with stronger astigmatism, available in an
extended range of prescription powers.
