Contact Lens Thermal Cleaner
Contact lens thermal cleaner can be used after the contact lens has been pre-cleaned with surface active
cleaner.
Each pre-cleaned lens is then placed into a compartment of a storage case full of saline solution.
The case is then placed into the contact lens thermal cleaner heating unit, where it is heated to a set temperature
for a specified time.
The heat process in a contact lens thermal cleaner kills microbial contamination better than any other method, and
is more effective against micro-organisms such as fungi and bacillus species than using chemical disinfectants.
Contact lens thermal cleaners are also effective against cysts of Acanthamoeba (a parasite which which is
difficult to treat) and the heat kills organisms on and surrounding the lens case, which further prevents
contamination.
