Hand Washing Soap Contact Lenses

Hand washing with soap is extremely important before you touch any contact lenses.

It is extremely easy to get a serious eye infection if your hands or your lenses aren't completely clean. So soap and water is the order of the day. The best stuff to use is liquid soap.

Apply the liquid soap while your hands are dry and spread and rub it in. be sure and get under the fingernails too.

Then rinse your hands thoroughly under running water. Dry your hands completely with clean paper towels, or plain, unperfumed, facial tissues.

You can also use lint-free cloth towels you have washed yourself, to dry your clean hands. Never, ever use a shared towel from someone's bathroom.

It is better to walk out of the washroom with wet hands than it is to risk contaminating them with someone else's germs.

And don't use toilet paper to wipe your hands dry. Another user may have contaminated it with germs you cannot see.
