Tinted gas permeable contact lenses are RGP lenses with a color tint. That's simple enough.

As long as the lenses have flair (and not flare) you should be delighted with your tinted gas permeable contact lenses.

Gas permeable lenses, GPs or RGPs for short, are a modern 'hard' contact lens, which contains very little water.

This means that RGP lenses last longer than soft lenses, but they're a little harder to get used to at first. But unlike the old style of hard lenses, from way back in the 1960s, these gas permeable lenses let the oxygen get to your eye.
